SYMPOSIUM MICROBIAL BIOSTIMULANT

Symposium – Microbial Biostimulant for Potatoes, Carrots & Brassicas

Symposium Microbial Biostimulant Use:

Symposium is a concentrated microbial biostimulant containing active rhizobacteria, fungi and organic biostimulants, developed to improve soil health, crop establishment, rooting, nutrient availability and plant vitality in potatoes, carrots, brassicas and other vegetable crops.

It is designed for use at planting, sowing or early crop establishment, helping beneficial microbial colonies develop close to the seed and root zone where they can support nutrient uptake, root growth and crop resilience.

Key benefit:

Supports stronger rooting, nutrient efficiency and healthier soil biology

Symposium helps crops get off to a stronger start by supporting early root development, improving access to key nutrients and encouraging a healthier, more balanced soil environment. It is particularly suited to root and vegetable crops, including potatoes, carrots, brassicas, alliums and small-seeded crops.

Benefits:

  • Supports early root growth, root mass and rooting efficiency.
  • Helps unlock soil nutrients including phosphate, manganese, sulphur and iron.
  • Improves crop access to water through stronger and deeper root systems.
  • Supports natural nitrogen fixation in the root zone.
  • Helps improve tolerance to drought, cold and heat stress.
  • Encourages healthier soil biology and microbial diversity.
  • Supports establishment, vigour, nutrient efficiency and crop resilience.
  • Can help reduce reliance on overall fertiliser inputs as part of a balanced crop programme.

When and where to use:

Symposium should be applied at planting or sowing so the product is positioned close to the seed or developing root zone. It can also be used post-emergence as a foliar application to run-off, where full coverage of foliage and stems is required.

For best results, pre-mix vigorously into water before adding to the sprayer, planter applicator or liquid fertiliser system.

Crops:

Potatoes, carrots, brassicas, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, alliums, onions, leeks and other vegetable crops.

Pack Size:

0.5 kg pack

Technical Information – Symposium

Symposium contains a synergistic blend of selected soil-derived bacteria, active microbial spores, beneficial fungal strains and organic biostimulants. These have been developed to support soil health, crop vigour, rooting and nutrient efficiency in root and vegetable crops.

Symposium also contains fermented high-carbon biomass extract, rich in amino acids, humic compounds and fulvic compounds. These materials help feed and stimulate the beneficial microbial colonies within OptiYield microbial mixtures.

The product delivers a high concentration of beneficial microbial and fungal colonies per hectare and is designed to work in the soil around the seed, developing roots and rhizosphere.

Application – Symposium

  • Apply in furrow at planting.
  • Position the product close to the seed, furrow or developing root zone.
  • Pre-mix or “cream” the product into water before further dilution.
  • Use sufficient water to ensure good coverage and soil contact.
  • For foliar use, apply to run-off to provide full coverage of foliage and stems.
  • Suggested water volume for foliar application: 150–200 L/ha.
Crop Timings and rates
Potatoes Seed/Furrow Dressing Apply at a rate of 0.5 kg/ha (1 Pack)
through a planter applicator or with liquid
fertiliser applied as close to the seed as possible.

Small seed crops after sowing – carrots, other Vegetables  within 4cm of surface.

Module Drench

Apply at a rate of 0.75 kg/ha (1.5 Packs) if applied on soil surface after drilling in a higher rate of water as necessary to allow sufficient coverage and volume for the rate.

Apply 0.5 Kg/Ha (0.5of a  Pack) in sufficient water to cover 10,000 modules to soak well but not run-off.

Post emergence – Foliar to run-off,  potatoes, carrots & other vegetables

Apply 0.25 kg/ha (0.5 of a pack) at intervals of 14-28 days or as advised.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • A bucket or jar test is recommended before filling the sprayer.
  • All tank mixes are at the grower’s own risk.
