SeaSpray Xtra – Seaweed Extract and Amino Acid Biostimulant
SeaSpray Xtra Biostimulant Use:
SeaSpray Xtra is a fully water-soluble, concentrated liquid seaweed extract produced from Ascophyllum nodosum harvested from the Atlantic coast. It is made using a cold extraction process and contains 35% w/w soluble seaweed extract solids and 5% w/w plant-origin L-amino acids.
SeaSpray Xtra contains naturally occurring plant growth promoters, including cytokinins, auxins, gibberellins and betaines. The amino acid content is in the L-isomeric form, which is more readily utilised by plants.
SeaSpray Xtra can be used across a wide range of edible and non-food crops and is particularly valuable for promoting early crop growth and resilience.

When and where to use:
Use SeaSpray Xtra during periods when crops need support for early growth, establishment and resilience. It can be applied:
- During early crop establishment
- During active vegetative growth
- At key crop development stages
- When crops require support for cell division and cell wall strength
- Before or during periods of environmental stress
- As part of a regular foliar nutrition programme
Crops:

Technical Information – SeaSpray Xtra
SeaSpray is a concentrated formulation of 100% natural seaweed extract containing a minimum of 35% (w/v) soluble seaweed solids beneficial to plant growth, crop development, crop quality and yield when applied as a properly timed foliar spray.
SeaSpray is intended to be used as a supplemental foliar treatment in crop production programmes.

Application – SeaSpray Xtra
For seedling modules, the label states that SeaSpray Xtra may be applied as a drench before or after sowing. Modules, roots or compost can be drenched or soaked in a 1:300 dilution of SeaSpray Xtra, up to 24 hours before transplanting.
SeaSpray Xtra can be used on all crops that require a boost to growth and health or environmental stress relief and has no statutory harvest Interval or maximum dosage limit.
A programme of multiple applications at 10 to 14 day intervals during early development through early vegetative growth will get the maximum benefit from SeaSpray Xtra.
Apply as a foliar spray in sufficient water to ensure good crop coverage.
The label recommends:
- 150–400 litres of water per hectare for most crops
- 2,000–4,000 litres of water per hectare for top fruit
